What makes a great software? Is it the best technology, is it affordable pricing, or is it a strong consumer base?

Josephine from the Yoga & Mind consulting joined us as one of those early adopters of our product when she’d been on the lookout for an escape from Mindbody’s tyrannical pricing structure and one day out of chance looked up for a Mindbody alternative.

As luck would have it during a random google search for a Mindbody alternative, we came upon the first page of the results. At that time our brand was known as StudioYou, unlike Bookee as we call it today, Over a demo with our founder, Josephine laid out the issues that had been plaguing her business. Now, remember, this interaction with Josephine happened before the pandemic hit.

Before COVID struck in, Josephine owned and operated her physical yoga and wellness studio in Peru, South Africa. She’d been a Mindbody user for almost six years, and that’s how long it took her to realize why the company wasn’t fulfilling the promises that they’d made when Josephine joined them in her fitness journey.

In just our second call Josephine made up her mind and wanted to make a switch. By the time her switch had happened, the pandemic had already set in and as destiny would have it, she had to pull the plug on her physical studio and go completely virtual.

Now that she was just starting afresh on building an online space for her existing clients to switch to, she was in real need of some guiding force that could empower her with all the right tools necessary to achieve her vision.

Bookee stepped in to upgrade her website and optimize it so her online visitors could sign up and book her live classes in just three clicks. Moreover, we made sure that her live stream systems were integrated perfectly with the software so she could host her classes online without any difficulties. That way she could concentrate on innovating her classes instead of setting up links as Bookee took care of everything technical.

What really hit the home run for her business was our VOD systems which when set up on her website ensured that she could host her videos online for paid users and that opened up an entirely new revenue stream for her business.

Throughout her journey, our support team remained closely involved in understanding her ambitions and enabling her with the right tools to push forward her growth.

Now Josephine' entire fitness and wellness business is running online. She travels more often and has a stable revenue stream up and running.
