For those who might not be familiar, 3D Secure (3DS) stands for "Three Domain Secure" and is an advanced security protocol designed to enhance online transaction security.

This technology involves an additional authentication step for online payments, where users must verify their identity through a unique code sent via text or email.

Originally developed by Visa with the name "Verified by Visa," this security measure has been widely adopted and is known as Mastercard SecureCode, American Express SafeKey, and more, depending on the card network.

While 3D Secure is a powerful tool in combating fraud and ensuring that transactions are authorized by the rightful cardholder, it can sometimes introduce a delay in the checkout process, posing a challenge for businesses aiming for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

When a client makes a purchase through the CRM, the payment is put om hold.

The client then receives an email with a link to authenticate their purchase.

Upon clicking the link and verifying their identity, the transaction is authenticated, and the payment status is promptly updated in their client profile under sales.

Please note that this added layer of security is not applicable to Quickpay and recurring payments.
